Judging Fashions on the Field on Cup Day

I was absolutely thrilled to be invited on behalf of the VRC and Myer, to judge the Myer Fashions on the Field competition on Emirates Melbourne Cup Day.

I spent the morning as a judge alongside the gorgeous Bec Bramich and Lauren Phillips; and was involved in deciding who would be announced as the coveted ‘Women’s Racewear Final’ winner.

Emirates Melbourne Cup Day fashions calls for strong looks and bold, bright colours, and entrants were true to this with the ladies wearing bright statement ensembles.

19 year old, Chloe Moo, was announced as the category winner. She impressed with her statement red, white and black textured print dress, designed by Raw Cloth in the Northern Territory. The outfit was paired with Monsoon millinery and Valentino shoes. Moo took home a suite of prizes including a $2,500 Myer shopping voucher and weekend for 4 at Sofitel Melbourne on Collins valued at $2,400.

Moo will join AAMI Victoria Derby Day’s Women’s Racewear Winner Ashleigh Albanese to compete for the Victorian State title on Crown Oaks Day. The winner from this competition will then go on to compete alongside the six state finalists from around Australia in the National Final, also on Crown Oaks Day.

The National winner will take home the major prize of a Lexus IS 300F Sports Convertible, along with a TCL entertainment package, Antler luggage, a $6000 Myer shopping spree, and more.

It was so wonderful to meet 2013 Myer Fashions on the Field Ambassador, Bec, as well as Myer Ambassador, Lauren – both gorgeous girls who made my inaugural judging session a little less daunting and lots of fun. Also spotted guarding the #MyerFOTF door was the lovely Sarah from Sarah’s Style Emporium.
