Melbourne Fashion Festival Opening Night at Docklands

Melbourne Fashion Festival has returned to Docklands for another year of fashion, fun and serious style.

The VAMFF Opening Event (presented by David Jones and supported by Vogue Australia) kicked of at Central Pier at 7pm this evening. I scouted around out front of the precinct, capturing the gorgeous display of sponsor booths as well as some of the stylish attendees, before heading inside Shed 14 to take my assigned seat and enjoy the show.

The nine-day program of Australian fashion, business and culture, kicked off with this spectacular opening show featuring collections from many of David Jones’ top Australian designers including Romance Was Born, Josh Goot, Mimco, Bianca Spender, Michael Lo Sordo and some seriously cool denim by Frame Denim (and many more).

VIP guests included high profile fashion designers Camilla Franks, Dion Lee, Josh Goot and Alice McCall, joining over three thousand ticket holders to watch David Jones ambassadors Jessica Gomes and Montana Cox take the runway in the latest autumn winter trends.
