It seems almost serendipitous that Om Nom Kitchen & Dessert Bar released its new cocktail menu on the 45th anniversary of Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.
With its bold flavours of honey, vanilla, elderflower and fig, the new menu tantalises the senses and transports you to an adult’s wonderland with its wicked theatre and mesmerising presentation.
The brainchild of mixologist Grant Collins, the new menu boasts 12 masterpieces including Nitro Tea Party; Mojito Science; Smoking Marshmallow Martini; Porthole Infusion; Salted Caramel Cracking Espresso; and The Secret Garden.
This is no ordinary cocktail menu, from unique glassware to the use of smoke, fire and dry ice every cocktail is deliciously different – some of these concoctions are edible, and others even turn to vapour.
The Secret Garden ($22) is a showstopper with its combination of cucumber gin, crisp cucumber, mint, elderflower, fresh pressed apple, served on a bed of edible soil with chocolate absinthe jelly worms & rose scent (!)
The Salted Caramel Cracking Espresso ($25) will smash apart any preconceived ideas you have about the perfect espresso martini. With its vanilla spiked vodka, salted caramel, Kahlua, cold pressed espresso this cocktail is topped with caramel & chocolate nitro charged foam and frozen at the table.
Science takes on a whole new meaning at Om Nom with Mojito Science ($22). Enjoy a mojito in three ways – deconstructed, nitro frozen sorbet or our personal favourite… vaporized.
We simple can’t get enough of Om Nom’s new cocktail menu which is available daily from 6pm to late. The cocktails are also available through the weekend high tea service.
You’ll find Om Nom in the contemporary Adelphi Hotel – 187 Flinders Lane, Melbourne.
