Hidden Gems around Chapel Street

Melbournians love a good trip to Chapel Street, for either some shopping or some amazing food. But I’m going to let you in on a little secret… The streets that surround Chapel Street are home of some real hidden gems!

Hidden Gems around Chapel Street

If you’re looking for a bite just off the beaten track, check out Sth Central. A super sleek modern cafe/restaurant with an all charcoal interior, hanging vines over the bar and an underground wine cellar. Sth Central is located down Yarra Street near F45 Training. It’s the perfect location for a post workout coffee.

If you’re looking for a suitable Tinder date location there is plenty to chose from across Sth Central’s lunch/dinner menus – I would highly recommend the steak!

Which brings me to dessert!

Luckily just around the corner from Sth Central there’s Adriano Zumbo’s new Italian cafe – Little Frankies.

From the dessert master himself, this is where dreams are made. The really cool thing is instead of a traditional ice cream cone, all the ice creams are served up in a donut cone and topped off with any topping you could hope for, from popcorn to cookies, its all here!

If ice cream isn’t your thing (although I’m not sure how thats possible), theres also a selection of other sweets and pasties. The best part is, if you love an overly textural foodie snap for your Instagram, you’re bound to get that here.

Le Louvre

Le Louvre - Melbourne Shopping

What’s a trip to the Chapel Street end of town without a bit of shopping?

This brings me to my most exciting luxury boutique find – Le Louvre located on Daly Street. As the name suggests, this french inspired building is a fashionistas dream, carrying everything from Balmain to Gucci and every designer brand in between. Le Louvre has 3 levels of straight off the runway trends plus a bridal section – for all you Carrie Bradshaw brides out there!

Just when you thought the fashion was enough to send you bank account into overdrive, Le Louvre also stocks an amazing range of Couture coffee table books… Now if only I had a beautiful coffee table to put them on. A girl can dream!
