The Color Run presented by Sportsgirl is a five-kilometre un-timed run where thousands of participants a.k.a Color Runners, are doused from head to toe with coloured powder at each kilometre… FUN CENTRAL!!!
Thankfully for me, the run is for both runners and walkers (fewwwww) and it encapsulates three amazing key messages which should be embraced in my opinion, everyday of the year!
Healthiness
While the 5k event is all about having fun, it’s also about encouraging participants to lead a healthier lifestyle. With more than half of the runners (slash walkers) being first-time 5k runners (cough-cough yours truly), the event is making headway on the national focus of improving health and wellness. The Color Run will be the perfect opportunity for participants to kick start their active lifestyle… It sure will for me!
Happiness
Get set to see how many smiles will be created at the finish line, yes it’s tremendously rewarding! Age, fitness level, shape or size is no excuse at The Color Run! It’s here to spread the happiness! After all, it’s not called the ‘Happiest 5k on the Planet’ for nothing!
Individuality
All of the Color Runners are uniquely different! Whether it be their demographic or their reason for attending the event, we say the more the merrier! With no official times, everyone’s a winner at The Color Run and therefore everyone’s welcome to celebrate individuality! And what’s a better reason to celebrate than that?!
And there’s only two rules…
1 . Wear white at the starting line
2 . Finish plastered in colour!
The fun doesn’t stop at the finish line! Afterwards, the EPIC Finish Festival will give the chance for all the fabulous Color Runners to burn a few extra calories by showing off their finest dance moves! Think music, dancing and of course their seriously fun and famous Color Throws!

Really looking forward to joining this event. Bought lot of colour run powder that I will on 27th. Imagining what would be the outcome of this event but I only believe in one thing that this gonna be fun.
