Thankyou Baby

Last week, I was thrilled to head along to the media launch of the amazing new Thankyou Baby products in West Melbourne (at Gather & Tailor).

Thankyou is a social enterprise who believe they can end global poverty in this lifetime, by simply working together. That’s why they give 100% of profits from their products to helping people in need.

The evening was incredible!

The venue ‘gorgeous’; the food ‘delicious’; and the Thankyou team ‘so down-to-earth’.

I walked away feeling so inspired. Empowered to be a mother who can do a small part to help so many other mothers (and communities) who suffer from so much hardship.

I won’t lie… When we sat down to watch the 30 minute video, I had tears streaming down my cheeks. What can I say, I’m emotional at the best of times, but when it comes to the journey of being pregnant and giving birth, nothing rings home harder than the harsh reality of how challenging life can be… Especially when I compare my own life experiences with the reality of mothers (families) living in developing nations. WHY BABY?

Sadly, every 90 seconds a mother dies in childbirth, with 99% of these deaths happening in developing nations. Globally, 2.9 million babies don’t make it through their first month of life because they don’t have access to basic health care.

We reckon that’s pretty messed up. That’s why 100% of the profits from the Thankyou Baby range will help get health services like immunisation programs and medical supplies to mums and bubs in need.

THE PRODUCTS

The Thankyou Baby range includes disposable nappies, cloth nappies, wipes and a body care range.

All the products have been carefully made and meticulously researched for our precious bubs, with 100% of the profits going to child and maternal health programs for families in need.

THE WHY?
