Eastland ice rink skates into Ringwood Town Square

Eastland ice rink skates into Ringwood Town Square

It might be the heart of winter in Melbourne, but the chilly weather cannot dampen the fun which is waiting to be had at Eastland at their fun new Ice Rink.

It’s completely undercover, so Melbourne’s fours seasons in one day will not stop you, your family and friends from hitting the ice and having an awesome time!

Eastland is my local shopping centre. It’s my most visited shopping destination in Melbourne due to its perfect eastern location, its plentiful parking and the great selection of retailers. I’m a frequent shopper at the centre with my kids because I’m a hassle-free kinda Mother, thanks to their great facilities including parents room and modern play equipment.

The Ice Rink has popped up on Level 3 of the centre at Ringwood Town Square. My kids had the best time under the starry lights and let me assure you, kids young and old will love their skating session.

The world of wintery wonder is here until the end of August and entry to the Ice Rink is free for shoppers who spend $20 at Ringwood’s Town Square.

Town Square is a culinary hotspot featuring many of my go-to restaurants including 400 Gradi, Huxtaburger, Ang Ang, Lavezzi Gelato and The Cellar Door (and heaps more).

Glowing with festoon lights and surrounded by snow-topped trees, the Ice Rink needs to be experienced both day and night. So I recommend you go at least twice at different times of the day.

If you head there with the girls, my tip is to stop into The Cellar Door for a coffee and cheese board; followed by a sunset skating session; finishing at 400 Gradi for some delicious wood-fired Neapolitan pizza and pasta (and a vino or two).

I’d love to treat my grandkids to some special ice skating time at Eastland. It’s my favourite shopping centre in Melbourne and I love having lunch at town square.

My kids are keen to try ice skating but I can’t get them to the good rinks in Melbourne. The skating at Eastland would be so close to home and a great chance for my kids to try out this fun sport!

My family and I are from wet and windy Warrnambool – not so much snowy! So we’ve never ice skated before! Would love to show the kids just how clumsy their mum really is – on and off the ice!

I also love Eastland a lot as it’s fairly modern and I don’t have to trek out all the way into the city, the ice rink just looks so magically and cozy and I have always wanted to try ice skating once!! I would probably go with my friends and have a lovely small girls day.
    Love the blog!!
