Counting down to NYE in Melbourne

New Years Eve in Melbourne

It’s not long now until NYE and we officially countdown the seconds to the new year in Melbourne!

The midnight fireworks display are a Melbourne Girl favourite, and can be viewed from anywhere in the greater Melbourne area (where the CBD skyline is visible). If you don’t already have a destination booked, we recommend you hightail it to a live site, where you can indulge in free music from local DJs, an array of great food and cocktail offerings, some special effects and a multimedia countdown – check out the live sites map here.

PLAN AHEAD

Due to large crowds, long traffic delays are expected, especially in and around the city. We recommend that you travel by public transport, avoiding Flinders Street Station and utilising the City Loop stations to access your party destination and the live sites.

For more travel options, visit the City of Melbourne NYE website here.
