I will pair a Meredith goats cheese with a glass of De Bortoli Estate Chardonnay and visit the Koalas and Kangaroos. Then for some Kennedy and Wilson dark chocolate and the eagle will be calling. Finishing the day with a Napoleon Brewery pale ale. Epicurean Tours are transferring me so I can relax and #getmywildon for the day!

It’s all of my favourite things in one, wine, cheese and chocolate, all while watching wildlife!! I love myself a Punt Road Pinot Noir, and a beautiful De Bortoli wine with cheese would be divine. Then to top it off with some Australian made Kennedy & Wilsons chocolate all while looking at cute animals, sounds like the perfect day to me!

Still exploring my new home town of Melbourne and LOVING all it has to offer, including this festival!
I would be keen to taste more from the Oakridge range as well as the One Block wines, and who could go past the lovely Debortli with cheese! #heaven #wineappreciation
I’ve never heard of Peyton & Jones, but curious to give it a whirl!

  • I’m looking forward to the De Bortoli winery and cheese tasting show at the reptile pavilion – my hubs and I LOOOOOVE De Bortoli wines!

Love to try the local vineyard series Chardonnay from Oakridge Winery and what a great excuse to escape the city for the day!

A refreshing Napoleone apple cider would be the ultimate treat, to celebrate getting to the end of a very long 12 week fitness and health challenge!
Perfectly timed with the Wine & Wildlife event – an animal cuddle would comfort my tired aching body from all my recent exercise, and I can immerse myself back into a more ‘normal’ Melbourne diet after eating ‘clean’ for 3 long months, with doses of coffee, cheese and chocolate – oh my! (Though cider is apples and pears, and wine is grapes – which is just practically a fruit salad right?)

I love wineries and this sounds amazing. I am not up to date with alot of wines, but would love to learn more about them. As my son is marrying into a family who love wines; so this would be a wonderful way to learn more. I love Dark Chocolate.. And I do like a few cheeses but I am going to sound boring but my favorite is Crumbly cheeses. This experience would be amazing and its also in the area where my soon to be Mother-in-law is very familiar with.

Punt Road Pinot, quaffed whilst cuddling a wily wombat sounds like heaven! Or perhaps a Peyton & Jones Black Paddock Syrah, served with a side of snuggly koala? Just the ticket to warm my cold city heart. Too much red and not enough time! #redwinelifestruggles

Oh men I hope this competition is still going!! I just arrived in Melbourne to live for a while. Really need to discover the Australian wines from this region! Top it of with seeing some iconic wildlife sounds like the perfect plan for this weekend!!

I am looking forward to tasting the wine from the Bortoli Winery, because it’s from the Yarra Valley, so it’s regional, but why I choose this (as a girl from Europe) I do looooove my cheese! So this one is on my top list.

Melbournegirl, you will be my new go to blog, since I need to discover a LOT off my new city. Hope to discover good local wines this weekend at Wine & Wildlife.

    xxx
