Are you getting excited Melbourne? Fashion Week arrives in a matter of weeks and boy do we have a great new competition for Melbourne Girl fans!
Melbourne Spring Fashion Week (MSFW) Designer Series will take place from 28 August to 4 September at Melbourne Town Hall. The Designer Series is the premier event of MSFW and will feature the best Australian and International labels each evening during the week.
Dyson are amongst Australia’s top technology style influencers. In 2015, Dyson will partner with MSFW to showcase their latest technologies; the V6 Absolute, Humidifier and AM09 Hot + Cool fan backstage, during the runway shows.
Thanks to the wonderful team at Dyson, one lucky Melbourne Girl fan and a friend will be heading along to the MSFW: Designer Resort runway on Friday 4 September.
The runway will star labels – Duskii, Easton Pearson, Franks, ISLA, MEGAN PARK, Suboo, Trelise Cooper, VERNER and We Are Handsome.
Boasting breezy, bright and flowing spring/summer ready-to-wear collections, these designers embrace a love of travel. Be transported to the warmer months where sandy beaches, glamorous swimming pools and a vibrant events schedule dictate sartorial decisions.

As a freshly-planted International Student who has never lived beyond the white picket fence-calmness of the suburbs, the style of Melbourne has been one of the most awe-inspiring aspects of life in the city. Fashion has never been so readily accessible and tangible to me before, and that is surreal exhilarating. I can spend an embarrassing amount of time wandering down streets and through stores, not just sightseeing as a tourist may do, but observing: street style, store fronts, spring collections, details, lines, colors, shapes. On days when I’m feeling down, the unique fashion of Melbourne all around is what captures my mind and whisks it away from homesickness. It turns my mind and creativity in a new, refreshing way that I am not used to but am excited to explore. Bearing witness to the sharp new styles and technology of the season at MSFW would be the ultimate heightening, fashion-learning experience here in Melbourne for which I would be so incredibly grateful.
