Winter Travel Essentials

I think most of you would agree that the best time of the year to take a holiday is in the Winter? Despite there being a plethora of amazing events happening in Melbourne this season, it’s always exciting to escape the big chill and indulge in a holiday mid-year.

Over the past few weeks, I’ve been lucky enough to head away to both Sydney and Lorne and have some more exciting adventures in the works for 2015.

I thought I’d share with you all some of my travel essentials – from the best luggage, to beauty products and active gear, even must-have beach accessories.

Samsonite Lite-Cube Luggage

My new Samsonite Lite-Cube luggage makes commuting super-easy. With an ergonomic handle and extra lightweight design, the cases took me from Melbourne on a plane trip and road trip in style.

The Lite-Cube matte and Ivory Gold finish make for the perfect travel accessories for any winter getaway.

Aztec Round Towel by The Beach People

I know what you’re thinking… Who needs a beach towel in winter?

Despite the chilly weather, I still love to escape to the beach to relax and read my favourite glossy mags. My Aztec Roundie acts as the perfect blanket on the sand and it’s also super-handy if you are staying in a resort and want to head to the pool in style.

Bonds Sporty Legging

Heading away means you can enjoy some leisurely exercise. These Bonds leggings are perfect for casual walks around your resort or a bike ride through the city.

I love that they are stretchy and not quite full length. Team them with a singlet or tee (pending the temperature) and you’ll be set for a light exercise session whilst still taking in the holiday sights.

Tuscan Tan Self Tan Mousee

I’m a sucker for a good tan and Tuscan Tan is my favourite self tan product (trust me, I have tried quite a few)!

This light weight mousse delivers a medium to dark tan finish with lasting results of up to 7 days with the correct care. It has a streak free application (I use the Tuscan Tan mitt), dries in seconds, and is very pleasantly fragranced.

ASPAR Body Cream

I absolutely love the ASPAR product range. I have a few of the beautiful range in my bathroom (including the body oil and body cleanser) and try to take them all with me when I getaway, but if I need to cut on some storage, the body cream is my number one essential.

It’s like a deeply nourishing daily spa ritual in your own space. The body cream hydrates, soothes and replenishes dry and dehydrated skin and has the most amazing fragrance, leaving you feeling a million dollars and silky smooth.

FUJI Instax Camera

I’m addicted to my instax mini 8. Who doesn’t like to capture a few holiday snaps on instant film these days though right?

The cute and compact body design makes it easy to throw in your carry on and the camera is available in five different colours – my pick is white! Keep it mono when ever you can.

Marc Jacobs Mod Noir

My latest fragrance from Marc Jacobs, smells great and I love the packaging!

Available exclusively from SEPHORA, I got mine in Sydney in June. However the great news is the beauty giant is coming to Melbourne in a few months – read all about the new store here.

Model Co LASH + LUXE

ModelCo’s latest beauty innovation, LASH & LINE Superlash Mascara and Liquid Eyeliner is a dynamic 2-in-1 product which combines two beauty must haves – a rich black liquid liner and a uniquely designed mega-watt mascara.

An essential beauty bag companion for girls on the go, and a perfect 2-in-1 to have handy in your clutch at all times.
