Sensis and Skip are bringing their tech A-Game to the Birdcage

If you are heading to the races this year, you will not want to miss the new Sensis marquee. For the first time Sensis will be bringing their A Game and an A List of celebrities to their front row Birdcage marquee. Guests will experience innovation and technology which has not yet been seen in a Birdcage marquee to date – Sensis CEO, John Allan, wouldn’t reveal all the details just yet.

One things for sure… Sensis and Skip are bringing their tech A-Game to the Birdcage at Melbourne Cup Carnival in 2016!

Cheers

Sensis has teamed up with the cool, calm and collected Skip App for their Stakes Day celebrations. If you haven’t already downloaded Skip App onto your phone, I suggest you do. Skip App gives you the power to calmly skip the queues at some of your favourite cafes and more importantly this year it will help you skip the queues at four bars at the Melbourne Cup Carnival too.

Skip App will take over the Sensis marquee on Stakes Day to showcase the latest technology, with the most scrumptious food, to provide a racing experience like no other. The day will be filled with fun and frivolous technological surprises and the most amazing nibbles, which we were given an exclusive tasting of this week.

Melbourne Girl was invited to a private tasting on the secluded Portico Balcony of the grand Melbourne Town Hall. The team behind the trendy Higher Ground cafe have partnered with creators of beautiful food Epicure to provide a mind blowing menu of seductive and also generally pretty healthy treats.

If you are lucky enough to be heading into the Sensis Marquee on Stakes Day you can expect to find refreshingly healthy chia puddings with fresh berries and buffalo yoghurt, melt in the mouth Cape Grim sliced beef on an amazingly light black bun or the famous antioxidant boosting blueberry and ricotta hotcakes.

My favourite dish of the day was the sublime lime cured ocean trout with yuzu curd (yuzu is an Asian citrus fruit packed with Vitamin C), coconut cream, caviar, shaved coconut and orange emulsion.

As you can imagine this healthy, fresh dish combined the flavours to produce a memorable moment.

Run, don’t walk, to the Sensis Marquee!
